GLENDALE HILLS NEIGHBORHOOD PROJECT, Elizabethtown, KY - MSE provided planning, design and contract administration of a comprehensive redevelopment of a 180-acre, blighted urban area in central Elizabethtown, KY.  This large, urban project involved the reconstruction of all streets (with curb and gutter), sidewalks, installation of storm sewers, sanitary sewers, water lines and all other utilities.  Due to the numerous sinkholes in the region, storm drainage discharge was a special problem.  MSE designed a method for cleaning each sinkhole opening and placing inverted filters with geo-textile membranes to accommodate storm discharge.
