Kentucky River Lock & Dam #7

MSE reviewed the stability studies previously performed on the dam in a proposed condition with the existing power plant abandoned.  MSE reviewed historical data on the dam and the hydropower plant, including the design drawings, the construction records and photographs.  MSE conducted field inspections on the existing structure with the assistance of a diving team.  MSE made estimates for the 100-year flood elevation at the project site.  MSE reviewed and provided comments and recommendations on the stability analysis that was performed by another engineering firm for the hydropower plant abandonment plan.
