The Southeast Kentucky Economic Development Corporation (SKED) recently received a $1.2 million from the Milliken & Company, one of the world’s largest, privately held textile and chemical companies.  Milliken & Company recently donated a 57,000-sq. ft. manufacturing facility (formerly American Bag company) located in Stearns, Kentucky.  SKED plans to restore the facility and market it to businesses around the region, state and nation to bring more jobs to McCreary County.  MSE was provided preliminary evaluations and a Phase I Environmental for the facility.  MSE also provided to SKED plans for facility improvements and additional parking.
