The City of Stanford proposes to increase its sewage treatment capacity from 800,000 GPD to 1.2 MGD.  This project will provide for a sludge filter press that would allow for sludge to be disposed in a landfill and eliminate the need for expensive private disposal and additional land for spreading of sludge.  The construction of a 5.5 MGD Equalization Basin (earthberm lagoon) to handle excess infiltration/inflows as mandated by the Kentucky Division of Water will also be included in this project.
